Our Landaco Spreader to Dry Rate Controller Harness is designed to integrate a Landaco trailing spreader with a John Deere Dry Rate Controller, bringing modern application control to an existing machine. Originally developed and field tested on a Landaco trailing spreader, the harness can also be configured to suit other Landaco trailing spreader setups.

The completed system can provide full-width section control, variable-rate application and GPS-based speed input, allowing the John Deere system to control application without relying on traditional ground-speed measurement.

Where possible, we work with what's already on the spreader. The existing belt control valve and belt encoder are retained, with our harness providing the electrical connections required to integrate them with the Dry Rate Controller.

WHY WE INCLUDE A NEW SPINNER SPEED SENSOR

Through our field experience integrating Dry Rate Controllers across different machines, we've found that existing speed sensors aren't always well suited to the John Deere controller. Rather than finding that out during installation, the harness kit includes a replacement spinner speed sensor we know is compatible with the system. It's one less variable to chase when it's time to get everything working.

GROUND DRIVE SPREADERS

Depending on the existing spreader configuration, a ground-drive unit may require modification to hydraulic drive before it can support the intended rate-control setup. AgriStag deals with the electrical integration only. Where a mechanical or hydraulic conversion is required, we'll identify that during the enquiry process so the appropriate work can be arranged separately.

NEED IT INSTALLED?

For customers within approximately 300 km of Wagga Wagga, we may be able to provide on-site installation subject to availability. Our installation day rate is $1,200, including travel, installation, system setup and configuration, plus a walkthrough of the completed system so you're ready to use it. Outside our service area, or where our installation schedule doesn't line up with yours, we often refer you on to a local dealership, technician or workshop to assist with the electrical side of the installation.
