About
The MTG to OBD II Vehicle Tracking Harness is designed to install a Modular Telematics Gateway (MTG) with M-Modem into vehicles using an OBDII connector. Ideal for fleet tracking, this harness enables machine and positional data to be sent to the John Deere Operations Center.
We provide multiple solutions including one that connects directly to the vehicle’s OBDII or J1939 port and includes a secondary pass-through port—so technicians can still use diagnostic tools without unplugging the system. Alternatively, we provide a simplified version for fleet vehicles, which doesn't include the auxiliary diagnostic port.
The harness requires switched power from an alternate source, such as behind the cigarette lighter, and features extended length for clean routing under footwell trims, allowing the MTG to be neatly positioned under the driver or passenger seat.
