About

A cleaner way to bring John Deere guidance into a CNH machine.

Fitting SolSteer to a CNH machine can traditionally require OEM harnessing to be routed through significant sections of the machine, including through the roof and, on some combines, around or through the grain tank.

We built the AgriStag SolSteer CNH Dual Display Adaptor Harness to simplify that setup.

Designed primarily for CNH combines fitted with a Pro 700 or IntelliView IV and CAN Bus steering valve, the harness utilises the machine's existing factory CAN Bus to integrate the SolSteer CAN Bridge and John Deere precision ag equipment.

The result is a much cleaner, plug-and-play electrical solution, with no additional OEM harnessing required, no need to find another power source and no need to take over diagnostic ports.

Importantly, this is a dual-display setup. The factory CNH display stays in place and continues handling the machine functions it was designed for, such as concave, sieve and fan settings. The John Deere display operates alongside it for precision ag functions such as AutoTrac and yield mapping, depending on the machine and setup.

The standard harness comes pre-wired for a Gen 5 display and M Modem, with alternative John Deere display configurations possible depending on the equipment being used.

WHY WE BUILT IT

This is one of those products where the benefit is less about adding another box and more about removing unnecessary complexity from the setup. Rather than routing additional OEM harnessing through the machine, the adaptor makes use of connections already available through the CNH system.

That means:

  • No additional power source required

  • No diagnostic port taken over

  • No additional OEM harnessing required

  • No routing harnesses through the roof or grain tank

  • Factory CNH display retained for machine control

  • John Deere display available for precision ag functions

  • Plug-and-play connection to the SolSteer CAN Bridge

Whether you're fitting it yourself on farm or working with your local technician or precision ag specialist, the aim is the same: a cleaner, simpler way to bring the two systems together.

IMPORTANT: CAN VALVE COMPATIBILITY

This harness is specifically designed for machines that use a CAN Bus steering valve.

SolSteer uses its CAN Bridge to provide communication between the John Deere and CNH CAN systems for steering commands. Because of this, machines that do not use a compatible CAN Bus steering valve are not compatible with this harness.

If you're unsure what steering valve configuration your machine has, send us your machine model and year with your enquiry and we can help determine whether this solution is suitable.

MOUNTING YOUR DISPLAYS

Running a Pro 700 or IntelliView IV alongside a John Deere display? Our AgriStag Precision Ag Dual Display Bracket offers a practical side-by-side mounting solution for compatible setups.

The bracket is sold separately from the harness, and package pricing may be available when purchasing both together.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why would I use this instead of the standard OEM harnessing?

The main advantage is a simpler, cleaner installation. Traditional OEM harnessing can require considerably more routing through the machine, including through the roof and, in some combine applications, through or around the grain tank.

Our adaptor instead utilises the machine's existing factory CAN Bus and brings the required connections together in one harness.

There's no need to find an additional power supply, occupy a diagnostic port or route additional OEM harnessing through the machine.

Does the Pro 700 or IntelliView IV stay in the machine?

Yes. This is a dual-display setup. Your original CNH display remains in place and continues handling machine functions such as concave, sieve and fan settings. The John Deere display operates alongside it for the required precision ag functions.

What can I use the John Deere display for?

That depends on your machine and precision ag setup. The harness was originally developed for a combine application where the John Deere display was used for AutoTrac and yield mapping, while the Pro 700 continued handling the combine's machine functions. Other precision ag functions may be possible depending on the machine, display, activations and equipment fitted.

Which CNH displays does it suit?

The standard harness is designed for machines fitted with a:

  • Pro 700

  • IntelliView IV

We can also manufacture a modified version to suit Pro 1200 or IntelliView VI configurations on request. These configurations are quoted according to the required setup.

Which John Deere displays can be used?

The standard harness is pre-wired for a Gen 5 display and M Modem. Alternative John Deere display configurations may also be possible. Depending on the display being used, an Ethernet switch may be required as part of the setup. If you're looking to use a 2630, 4640, Gen 4 or another display configuration, let us know when enquiring so we can confirm the required setup before manufacture.

Is additional harnessing or another power source required?

No additional harnessing or separate power source is required for the standard configuration. The adaptor uses the machine's existing connections to provide the required power and CAN communication without taking over the diagnostic port.

Is this only for combines?

No. The harness was designed primarily around combine applications, but the underlying solution is suitable for other CNH machines using a compatible CAN Bus steering valve. Depending on the machine, the standard harness may suit as-is or we may need to make minor modifications to the configuration. If you have another CNH machine in mind, send us the machine model, year and existing display configuration and we can determine what's required.

Compatibility

Designed primarily for CNH combines fitted with a Pro 700 or IntelliView IV and compatible CAN Bus steering valve. The same architecture may also be suitable for other CNH machines using a compatible CAN Bus steering valve, either in the standard configuration or with minor harness modifications.

Standard configuration:

- Pro 700 or IntelliView IV

- Compatible CAN Bus steering valve

- SolSteer CAN Bridge

- Gen 5 John Deere display

- M Modem

Other configurations: Modified versions can be manufactured on request for Pro 1200 or IntelliView VI equipped machines. Alternative John Deere displays may also be supported depending on the configuration. An Ethernet switch may be required with some display setups. NOT compatible with: Machines that do not utilise a compatible CAN Bus steering valve. If you're unsure whether your machine meets the requirements, send us the machine model, year and current display configuration with your enquiry and we'll confirm compatibility before quoting.

Fitment & Routing

The harness connects into the machine's existing Pro 700 or IntelliView IV harnessing and utilises the factory CAN Bus, avoiding the need to route additional OEM harnessing through the machine. The CNH display remains fitted and operational for machine functions, while the harness provides the connections required for the John Deere display, M Modem and SolSteer CAN Bridge. No separate power source or diagnostic port connection is required in the standard configuration. The harness is designed to be plug-and-play and suitable for self-installation, provided the machine and equipment meet the compatibility requirements.
