Fitting a 2630?

We manufacture a specific version of the adaptor for replacing an original 7" CommandARM with a 2630, at the same harness price.

The video port keying and mounting bracket differ from those used with Gen 4/G5 displays, so please tell us which display you're installing when ordering.

Our Tractor CommandARM to Universal Display Adaptor is designed for supported 2010–2014 R Series tractors originally fitted with a 7" CommandARM.

Important Considerations

What happens to your machine information?

Unlike many John Deere tractors, compatible combines, sprayers, forage harvesters and other self-propelled machines typically have a separate Primary Display Unit (PDU), usually located on the front-right cab pillar.

Think of it like your car's dashboard. It displays important operating information such as ground speed, engine temperature, selected gears and other machine-specific details independently of the original CommandARM screen.

This means replacing your 7" CommandARM or armrest-mounted 2630 doesn't necessarily mean losing access to the machine information you rely on.

Supported machine functions can also remain accessible through the ISOBUS VT on your replacement Universal Display.

Engine hours

Whether engine hours appear on your replacement Universal Display depends on your machine and display configuration.

If your machine is fitted with an MTG, engine hours may also be available through John Deere Operations Center.

If engine-hour visibility is important to you, please check with us before ordering so we can discuss your particular setup.

Display activations

Activations held on the original CommandARM cannot be transferred to a Gen 4, G5 or G5Plus Universal Display.

Depending on the functions you use, equivalent activations may need to already be available on, or purchased for, your replacement display.

Any activations already held on the replacement Universal Display are unaffected by fitting our adaptor.

CommandARM buttons and controls

When upgrading to a Gen 4 or G5 display, some original CommandARM navigation buttons will no longer function as they did with the older display. Supported machine functions remain accessible, but certain navigation tasks move to the replacement display's touchscreen.
